Depending on how you use the website, we may collect:

  • Your first and last name
  • Your email address
  • Your country
  • Your company name, if you choose to provide it
  • Information about the products you purchase
  • Order numbers, invoice numbers, purchase amounts and payment status
  • Messages or questions you send to us
  • Technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device information and security logs

We only collect information that is necessary to operate the website, process purchases, deliver products and provide customer support.

3.How we use your personal data

We may use your personal data to:

  • Process and administer your order
  • Arrange and confirm payment
  • Send order confirmations, invoices and download links
  • Provide the digital products you purchased
  • Respond to questions and customer-service requests
  • Maintain our financial and tax administration
  • Protect the website and checkout against misuse or fraud
  • Comply with legal and regulatory obligations

We do not sell or rent personal data.

We do not use information supplied during checkout to send marketing emails unless you have separately and expressly agreed to receive them.

4.Legal grounds

We process personal data on one or more of the following legal grounds:

  • Performance of a contract: to process your order, payment and product delivery
  • Legal obligation: to maintain financial and tax records
  • Legitimate interests: to provide customer support, secure our website and improve our services
  • Consent: where we specifically ask for permission, such as for optional marketing or non-essential cookies

You may withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that took place before consent was withdrawn.

5.Payments and service providers

Payments are processed through Mollie. Goatways does not receive or store your complete bank or card details. We receive only the information necessary to confirm and administer the payment.

Orders, checkout pages, invoices and digital delivery may be processed through Plug&Pay.

We may also use website-hosting, technical and email-service providers to operate the website and communicate with customers.

These service providers may only process personal data for the services they provide and must protect it appropriately.

We may also disclose information when legally required, for example to tax authorities, regulators or other competent public authorities.

6.International data transfers

Some technical service providers may process information outside the European Economic Area.

Where this occurs, we require appropriate safeguards, such as an adequacy decision or approved standard contractual clauses, in accordance with applicable data-protection law.

7.How long we keep personal data

We do not retain personal data longer than necessary.

  • Order, payment, invoice and tax-administration records are generally retained for at least seven years, as required under Dutch tax law.
  • Records covered by the EU One Stop Shop scheme may need to be retained for ten years.
  • Customer-service correspondence is normally retained for up to two years after the request has been resolved, unless it is needed for an ongoing matter or legal obligation.
  • Technical and security information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to maintain and protect our systems.

After the relevant retention period, information is deleted or anonymised where reasonably possible.

8.Cookies

Budgiejournal.com may use essential or functional cookies that are necessary for the website, checkout and payment process to work correctly.

Plug&Pay and Mollie may also use functional and security-related cookies during checkout and payment.

We do not intentionally use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies on budgiejournal.com at this time. If we introduce analytics, advertising or other non-essential cookies in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and request consent where required.

You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of the website or checkout from working correctly.

Depending on the applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Request deletion of your personal data
  • Request restriction of processing
  • Object to certain processing
  • Receive certain data in a portable format
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

Some rights may be limited where we are legally required to retain information, such as invoice and tax records.

To exercise your rights, contact us at hello@goatways.online. We may request reasonable information to verify your identity before responding.

You also have the right to submit a complaint to the Dutch Data Protection Authority:

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, alteration and disclosure.

However, no website or electronic transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

11.Children’s privacy

Our checkout is intended to be used by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children under the age of 16 without permission from a parent or legal guardian.

If you believe that a child has provided personal data to us without appropriate permission, please contact us.
